Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive phone and virtual triage assessments to evaluate patient symptoms and medical history.
- Utilize clinical protocols to determine the urgency of patient needs and recommend appropriate care levels.
- Document all interactions and clinical findings accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient continuity.
- Provide clear, empathetic patient education regarding symptoms, medications, and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, with a strong preference for triage, urgent care, or emergency room background.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Strong computer proficiency with experience navigating EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
