Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive initial patient assessments via phone and secure messaging to determine acuity levels.
- Utilize clinical decision support tools to recommend appropriate next steps for care, including referral, home care, or office visits.
- Document all triage interactions accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Stay updated on clinical guidelines and triage protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri.
- Previous experience in triage nursing or urgent care preferred.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
