- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through appeals and follow-up
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance regulations
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and accounts receivable logs
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding payment plans and billing inquiries
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Experience with billing software (e.g., Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems)
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance policies
- Certification (CPC, CBCS, or equivalent) preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
