As a Triage Nurse, you will play a critical role in the initial assessment of patient needs, ensuring rapid and accurate care delivery. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, detail-oriented, and ready to make a difference.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine the urgency of medical needs.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems to document patient history, symptoms, and triage decisions accurately.
- Consult with physicians and advanced practice providers for complex or critical cases.
- Provide clear, empathetic health education and medication instructions to patients and families.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and manage follow-up care pathways.
- Adhere strictly to clinical protocols, HIPAA regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in triage, urgent care, or emergency nursing.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to remain calm and make rapid, sound clinical decisions under pressure.
