Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via phone, email, or in-person triage to determine urgency of care.
- Evaluate symptoms, medical history, and vital signs to formulate accurate nursing diagnoses and care plans.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists, physicians, or urgent care facilities based on patient needs.
- Document all interactions and clinical findings accurately into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Manage incoming high-volume inquiries with speed, accuracy, and a compassionate demeanor.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
- Provide health education and discharge instructions to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1+ year in triage or emergency nursing preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of patient calls.
