Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient triage using evidence-based protocols
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment (EKG, pulse oximetry) for rapid assessments
- Collaborate with physicians to determine patient acuity and disposition
- Document clinical encounters accurately in Epic EHR system
- Provide clear patient education on home care and next steps
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards
Qualifications
- Current Missouri RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- 3+ years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Expertise in triage protocols and clinical decision-making
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EHR)
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
