Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency of care
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to patients via phone or in-person triage
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and triage decisions
- Monitor patient flow and optimize department efficiency during peak hours
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality standards
- Participate in continuous training to enhance clinical assessment skills
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (training provided)
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
