Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and ambulation using proper techniques
- Administer prescribed medications and treatment reminders
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain safe living environments
- Transport clients to medical appointments and errands
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- Current Ohio state HHA certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to complete training)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal skills and compassion for elderly/disabled clients
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency in documenting care notes using electronic systems
