Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency and priority of care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers during emergency situations
- Utilize triage protocols and clinical judgment to assign appropriate acuity levels
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate patient flow
- Maintain calm demeanor under pressure while delivering exceptional patient care
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (new graduates welcome!)
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
