Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments and determine priority of care based on presenting symptoms
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain electronic health records
- Provide education to patients regarding appropriate care pathways and resources
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure timely patient flow through the ED
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and training programs
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required)
- Active RN license in the state of Colorado (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (provided upon hire if needed)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations
