Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone or secure messaging platforms to determine medical urgency.
- Provide medical triage advice and direct patients to the appropriate level of care.
- Document patient interactions and clinical findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and referrals to primary care physicians or specialists.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications
- Must be a current nursing student (LPN, RN, or LVN) or a recent graduate.
- Valid state nursing license (or enrollment in a nursing program).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate EMR systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple patient inquiries simultaneously.
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient safety.
