Responsibilities
- Conduct Patient Assessments: Utilize advanced triage protocols to evaluate patient symptoms via phone, secure messaging, or video call.
- Provide Medical Guidance: Offer appropriate clinical advice, symptom management instructions, and triage recommendations to patients.
- Coordinate Care: Facilitate timely referrals to physicians, specialists, or urgent care facilities when necessary.
- Documentation: Accurately and thoroughly document all patient interactions and clinical findings into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with providers, nursing staff, and patient care coordinators to ensure continuity of care.
- Emergency Triage: Recognize life-threatening situations and follow emergency protocols to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Education: Current RN license in North Carolina required. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: No prior experience required. New graduates and career changers are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in basic computer applications and electronic medical record systems.
- Attributes: Empathetic nature, ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid NC nursing license and BLS/ACLS certification.
