Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by history, physical exams, and symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatment, reporting changes in condition immediately.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for high-acuity units.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment under pressure.
