Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency and priority of care
- Provide accurate triage recommendations to physicians and clinical staff
- Utilize Epic EHR system to document patient assessments and care plans
- Coordinate patient flow through the emergency department efficiently
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Nebraska RN license (required)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
