Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases based on medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Provide clear instructions to patients via phone and telehealth platforms
- Monitor patient vitals and symptoms throughout triage process
- Coordinate with ancillary departments for seamless patient flow
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- 1+ years of clinical nursing experience (ED experience preferred)
- Valid BLS certification required
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in English (Spanish bilingual a plus)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Proficient with electronic health records (EMR) systems
