In this critical role, you will serve as the first line of defense for our patients, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of care and attention they deserve.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine medical urgency and appropriate level of care.
- Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to patients via phone and in-person triage.
- Coordinate patient care plans, including referrals to physicians and specialist services.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
- Educate patients on self-care strategies and the importance of follow-up appointments.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while managing high-volume call volumes.
- Collaborate with the nursing leadership team to improve triage protocols and patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nevada.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Previous experience in emergency or urgent care triage is a plus but not required.
