Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine acuity level and prioritize care
- Utilize clinical judgment to make appropriate disposition decisions (ER, urgent care, home care)
- Document patient encounters accurately in our EMR system with precision
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care coordination teams
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families during stressful situations
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience (ER/urgent care preferred)
- ACLS/BLS certifications (or obtainable during training)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Proficiency with electronic health records
- Commitment to completing our paid triage certification program
