Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using standardized triage protocols in emergency settings
- Make critical decisions about patient prioritization based on acuity and resource availability
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide compassionate guidance to patients and families during stressful situations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow and resource utilization
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proven expertise in rapid patient assessment and prioritization
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- BSN or higher degree preferred
