Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine acuity level and prioritize emergency department cases
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop appropriate treatment plans
- Utilize EHR systems to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide patient education on emergency procedures and follow-up care instructions
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards and department protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
- Mentor new staff and contribute to departmental training programs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 3 years of emergency department or critical care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong assessment skills with ability to make rapid clinical decisions
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
