Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using triage protocols to determine urgency of care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document medical histories and symptoms using electronic health records
- Administer emergency interventions within scope of practice
- Coordinate patient flow and bed assignments for optimal efficiency
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kansas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ED or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Electronic health record proficiency (EPIC preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
