Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Follow up on denied claims and appeals
- Manage patient billing statements and collections
- Maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing processes
- Generate monthly billing reports for management
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certification (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
