Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency of care
- Provide telephonic and in-person triage services using clinical judgment protocols
- Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and care teams for seamless patient transitions
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Educate patients on care pathways and follow-up instructions
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA)
- Minimum 2 years emergency or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Strong triage assessment and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
