Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize care in emergency settings using established triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders while monitoring patient responses
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems with attention to regulatory compliance
- Provide compassionate patient education and discharge instructions to patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania with minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC experience preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
