Responsibilities
- Assess patients using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols to determine priority of care
- Triage patients efficiently in high-volume emergency department settings
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions
- Oversee triage area operations and manage patient flow
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in high-stress environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
