Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments in emergency department triage
- Prioritize cases based on acuity using ESI protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR systems
- Collaborate with physicians on patient disposition plans
- Provide education on care pathways and discharge instructions
- Adhere to JCAHO and emergency department policies
Qualifications
- Current KY RN license with BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- Expertise in rapid assessment and triage protocols
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
