Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Prioritize patient cases based on medical urgency and acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide clear patient education on home care instructions and follow-up protocols
- Monitor and report trends in patient presentations to leadership teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for emergency department workflows
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years ER or urgent care experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications; TNCC preferred
- Proficient in Epic or similar EHR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
