Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using ESI protocols
- Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient flow
- Document clinical assessments accurately in EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Provide compassionate care to patients across diverse age groups and conditions
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
- Oversee triage station operations during peak hours and critical incidents
- Mentor junior staff on emergency medicine best practices
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nevada (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in triage protocols (ESI, CTAS)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills for diverse patient interactions
- Experience with EPIC EHR systems preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with high-volume patient loads
