Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and determine appropriate medical urgency using standardized protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice and triage guidance via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Educate patients on home care instructions and when to seek emergency care
- Handle high-pressure situations with compassion and clinical precision
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana (IN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities across diverse populations
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility for rotating shifts including nights/weekends
