Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive phone assessments to evaluate patient symptoms and determine the appropriate level of care.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and timely within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Provide medical advice and triage instructions within the scope of practice and established protocols.
- Coordinate referrals to appropriate providers, specialists, or emergency services as needed.
- Collaborate with the nursing and clinical staff to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kansas.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, with triage experience highly preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and empathetically.
- Proficiency in computer systems and EMR software.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure during high-volume call situations.
