Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient care based on acuity levels
- Document clinical encounters in Epic EHR systems with precision and efficiency
- Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up care coordination
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license)
- Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience (new grads with externships welcome)
- ACLS/BLS certification (training provided if needed)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
