Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments using ESI and AS triage protocols
- Coordinate emergency department workflow and bed allocation
- Provide telehealth triage services for urgent care patients
- Collaborate with physicians on critical patient disposition decisions
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records with 99.7% compliance
- Lead crisis intervention for high-acuity cases
- Mentor new nursing staff during orientation period
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Missouri RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 1 year ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Exceptional communication abilities in high-pressure situations
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (rotating nights/weekends)
- Commitment to completing paid triage certification program
