Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine acuity levels and prioritize emergency cases
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient treatment plans
- Accurately document patient histories, symptoms, and vital signs in EHR systems
- Provide clear communication to patients and families regarding wait times and care protocols
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards and emergency department protocols
- Oversee patient flow and bed management to optimize department efficiency
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nevada
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or critical care experience
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stress environments
