Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and arrange surgical instruments
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols in the OR
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures
- Transport patients and specimens safely and efficiently
- Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless workflow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Certificate in Surgical Technology (preferred; training provided if needed)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and sterilization techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
