Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage to determine priority level and appropriate care pathway
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate urgent and emergent patient responses
- Document clinical encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Educate patients on home care instructions and when to seek immediate medical attention
- Manage high-call-volume situations with calm professionalism and critical decision-making
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Spanish bilingual preferred
- BSN degree strongly preferred
