Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments in emergency department triage
- Prioritize patients based on acuity using ESI protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Initiate emergency interventions for critical conditions
- Document patient encounters in Epic EHR system
- Provide patient education and discharge planning
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and state regulations
Qualifications
- Active AZ RN license (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years emergency nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Strong critical thinking and triage decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic EHR preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in fast-paced environment
