Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Support: Help patients turn, reposition, and move safely to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
- Hygiene Assistance: Provide assistance with feeding, meal preparation, and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Communication: Document patient care plans and communicate significant changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current CNA certification (or willingness to obtain within probation period).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- CPR: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
