Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct personal care assistance to patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assistance: Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, ensuring proper sanitation and infection control protocols are followed.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate clinical records and charts as required by facility policies.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or state certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine bedside manner.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Background: Passing a background check and drug screening is mandatory.
