Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
- Assistance: Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communication: Communicate patient status changes and concerns to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
- Hygiene: Ensure patients are clean and comfortable; change linens and maintain a tidy living space.
- Meal Support: Assist patients with feeding and ensure they remain hydrated throughout the shift.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs as required by facility policy.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Arizona CNA License required.
- Training: Graduate of an accredited CNA program.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred but not mandatory for immediate hires.
- Skills: Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy, patience, and attention to detail.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
