Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
- Communicate patient updates and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and sanitized.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or LPN.
- Support patients and their families with emotional needs and questions.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA license in the State of Texas.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate attitude towards the elderly and patients with chronic conditions.
