Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of adaptive equipment
- Document patient care accurately and maintain confidential records
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and light housekeeping
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure patient well-being
- Adhere to HIPAA and facility-specific safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active Virginia CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of recent CNA experience in long-term care or hospital setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly patients
- Clean criminal background check and negative TB test
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and 8-12 hour shifts
