Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and patients.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the Charge Nurse or RN immediately.
- Document care activities and patient interactions in electronic health records.
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Texas CNA License.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in long-term care or home health preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) as scheduled.
