Job Overview
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Associate at our facility, you will be the face of our patient care team. We value dedication and a positive attitude above all else. If you are eager to learn and grow within the healthcare sector, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Patient Assistance: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and personal spaces are clean, safe, and sanitized to prevent infection.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status changes and needs to registered nurses and physicians.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient logs.
- Mobility Support: Safely assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and walking using proper body mechanics.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a CNA training program is a plus but not mandatory for this entry-level position.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and strong written/oral communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks as needed.
- License: Current CNA license preferred; ability to obtain certification upon hire is required.
