Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding).
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and walking with walkers or wheelchairs.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the nursing staff.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current, active Florida CNA License (or Compact State License).
- Current CPR Certification (BLS preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate and patient-oriented demeanor.
