Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from bed to wheelchair and walking under supervision.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary requirements and personal preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current, valid, and unencumbered CNA or LPN license in the state of Maryland.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a strong work ethic.
