Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to strict medical protocols and state regulations.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to infection control standards and housekeeping protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of New Mexico.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) and occasional weekends.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, and pull patients up to 50 lbs.
- Strong empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.
