Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Mobility Assistance: Help patients with walking, transferring, and positioning to prevent falls and ensure comfort.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the medical team, reporting changes in patient status promptly.
- Hygiene & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, ensuring all equipment is sanitized.
- Record Keeping: Update patient charts and care plans accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee.
- CPR: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
