Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Change linens, dress wounds, and maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and concerns.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and directed by the RN or LPN.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA or RN license issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
