About the Role
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients have a comfortable and positive experience. You will work closely with our dentists and hygienists to deliver exceptional clinical and administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and ready.
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, explain treatment plans, and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit.
- Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays (intraoral and extraoral) accurately and safely.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and sanitation of instruments and operatory rooms.
- Record Keeping: Maintain and update accurate patient records, charts, and treatment histories in the dental software.
- Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels of dental materials and order replacements as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Kansas Dental Assistant License (CDA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry practice.
- Skills: Proficiency in four-handed dentistry and knowledge of dental terminology.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, patient demeanor.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to learn and operate dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) quickly.
- Reliability: Punctual, professional, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
