Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations and procedures, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials according to strict sterilization protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral images using digital technology.
- Manage patient records, including updating charts, verifying insurance information, and collecting payments.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Order and maintain dental supplies and inventory to ensure clinic readiness.
- Support front desk operations as needed during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred; AZ licensure required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques.
- Proficient in Dentrix or Eaglesoft practice management software is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
