Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations and procedures with efficiency and precision.
- Take and develop intraoral and extraoral dental X-rays (Radiography Certified).
- Manage patient records, update charts, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
- Order and maintain dental supplies and inventory.
- Assist in scheduling appointments and managing front desk duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in Illinois.
- Current CPR and BLS certification.
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, OpenDental).
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual dexterity tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to sterilization protocols.
